I had a great pick up group (PUG) this weekend running through some Necropolis quests.
We had a great Paladin and Favoured Soul, that worked well to heal and buff the party.
Fighter was a real fighter and maintained the aggro while the wizard dealt insane damage (with 90% of the total kills), and I was a trap / switch monkey.
The party was fun and worked extremely well and was refreshing to play with as we worked as a team.
After three quests the Paladin had to go to deal with family stuff and a ranger dropped…. So I recruited another healer (level 12, compared to our level 10 toons) and a FvS that I was told had been "rolled to do damage".
The last quest, Tomb of the Shadow King, in the mini chain was with these two new players, but I though as the party worked so well for the previous three quests, we should have no trouble.
I was wrong.
The healer just stood about…. Not healing, buffing, resurrecting or doing much at all. He was obviously leeching the scarab and / or XP.
The FvS just tried to zerg the whole quest, getting hurt by the traps, respawning ghosts and was constantly on low health. He then tried to take out the end boss by himself… The boss kicked his ass, so he ran back to the unprepared group and got three more players killed.
As the Cleric wasn't resurrecting people (a level 12 cleric without resurrect?!?!) the zerger recalled to the tavern to run back and collect his reward and XP….
So I waited until he recalled and booted him from the group
No reward and no XP.
If you want to run the whole quest alone, just say. That way people who haven't run the quest before can drop group and get the most out of the game.
My bio for each toon I have clearly says : I hate zergers!
Do you think I was out of line?
When do you think it is ok to kick a party member?
